Just a little background about myself….

All the garments that I offer are created in my studio in the USA.  From design, to construction, to finish. No other seamstress is employed.  This allows me to provide a truly well made, authentic garment using all of my knowledge on 18th century clothing construction.

After Graduating from Harcum College with a degree in Fashion Design, I was trained in Dressmaking and Tailoring.  Previous to my formal education, I designed & created authentic clothing for the Reenactment & Living History Communities which began 1997.  I  have attended numerous seminars on Historic Clothing, Textile Conservation & Preservation as well as studying antique garments at such places as the Museum of Costume in Bath, The London Museum, The V& A, The Colonial Williamsburg Collection, and others.  As a collector myself, I use original pieces to re-create authentic patterns.

Many of my reproductions have been used in Living History Museums and Films produced by PBS, The History Channel & Independent Film Makers.

As previously stated, I see to all aspects of my business. Nothing is out-sourced to other seamstresses or other countries. I use only the highest quality materials and fabrics. To read more about how I design the garments please see the About our Reproductions page!

I  also  have over 12 years of experienced in 18th century Living History Education such as Hearth cooking, Clothing,  Food Preservation, Tea Ceremony and a general knowledge of the 18th century period.

The following images are from a  2004 episode of Food TV’s “The Best Of” where I was featured hearth cooking.
